Friends of Chinn Brook Recreation Ground/ Meadows want to see it thrive and live up to its happy valley vibe. Cuts in green space management are contentious and the group are aware of the need for properly funded care/maintenance. However, after talking to park rangers and drawing attention to the condition of trees planted several years ago (shown below), the group decided to act on the rangers go-ahead and rescue those embedded by their support structure. There is much work to be done, more trees to rescue and dumping to combat. In addition to practical support and lobbying the group are planning creative ways to raise appreciation of the flora and fauna.
